Our main interest is personal development and protection in the individual's health and safety. By using the ancient methods of the Martial Arts we can condition our Bodies, Minds and Spirit well beyond any other form of exercise. Strength and Size are not the issue as our practice reveals the proper Physics, Timing and Distancing to allow anyone to overcome conflict from outside as well as inner sources. The curriculum includes sets of movements handed down through the centuries of Martial Arts Masters. They still stand today to show the worth of the Old Masters wisdom.
These Ancient exercises called Kata have been handed down through centuries of Martial Artists as a complete method of self preservation, (health and personal protection). As you learn and practice these methods please remember what you are out to accomplish and do not rush your studies. By keeping your practice slow and methodical you will allow the Kata to teach you by feeling each motion and listening to your minds creative instincts.
Strength is the first level we strive for as we condition the muscles, tendons, ligaments and bone to fortify us against the aging process we cannot escape (but can slowdown).
Next is flexibility as we regain the loose supple bodies we had in our youth, again off setting the ravages of aging.
Coordination, control and balance... all aspect that diminish with time that make us susceptible to falls are regained and even surpassed through the program.
Your physical health will improve, causing your mental outlook to also improve, bringing you a great feeling of self. This will ramify in so many ways in personal and interpersonal relations that new and inspiring outlook and opportunity will arise.
